Our 2017 Creepy Crawlers Gardening Class Schedule has been announced!
Hands-on environmental education for our youngest crowd! Creepy Crawler gardening classes are open to 2-5 year olds accompanied by an adult. Classes are held on Mondays from 10:00 am-11:15 am. Pre-registration is required!
Each class involves hands-on work in our garden, games or arts and crafts, and a snack. These classes are held rain or shine and everyone should dress for the weather.

2017 Creepy Crawlers Gardening Class Schedule:
January 16 – “What Is a Plant?”
Let’s learn all about plants and then make your own wheat grass pet.
February 20 – “Wonderful Worms!”
Learn about vermiculture and help build a worm farm!
March 20 – “Fruit or Vegetable?”
Find out the difference between the two, make newspaper pots, and start seeds for our garden.
April 17 – “Composting for the Garden”
What is composting and why is it important? Discover what the 3 Sisters are and learn how to plant them.
May 15 – “From Seed to Sprout”
Pizza? Colonial? Salsa? Explore our new garden themes and get dirty planting seeds and sprouts.
June 19 – “We’re Eating What?”
Learn about the different parts of plants that we eat then plant potatoes and sunflowers.
July 17 – “Friend or Foe?”
Discover which bugs are helpful and which are not. Help us start pumpkin vines for Halloween.
August 21 – “The Fruits of Labor”
It’s harvest time! What can we make with our bounty? Let’s find out!
September 18 – “The Seasonal Garden”
Replant our spent beds with Fall produce and help make a scarecrow for our pumpkin patch.
October 23 – “Halloween Harvest”
Pick pumpkins from our patch, explore what’s inside, and take one home for Halloween.
November 20 – “Replenishing the Soil”
Find out what a cover crop is and what it can do for next year’s garden.
December 18 – “Beautiful, Beneficial Bees”
Learn about the importance of bees and help make a bee hotel for our garden.
