Are you looking for a unique outdoor recreational adventure? Let our experienced kayak touring instructors guide you through Marshy Creek and discover the wonders of the wetlands.

CBEC’s team of certified American Canoe Association instructors, partnered with experience naturalists, will guide you through basic kayak instruction and then lead you on a paddle to explore the watershed of Marshy Creek.

While kayaking, you may encounter wading birds, waterfowl, and migratory raptors hunting the marshlands. Other common sightings include otter, muskrat, terrapin turtles, mating cownose stingrays, schooling silversides, undulating jellyfish, and slithery watersnakes! If nothing else, the ebb and flow of the tide through the gently swaying marsh grass is the sure remedy for nature deficit disorder.

Guided trips are offered twice per month from May through October during the 2019 season and designed for beginner to intermediate kayakers. Instruction on equipment, paddling/safety techniques, and loading and unloading the vessels is included. The experience will give you up to two hours of paddling time with a self-provided snack break at the halfway point.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required at bayrestoration.org/guided-kayak-tours. Cost is $15 per person for CBEC members and $20 per person for non-CBEC members. Kayaks and equipment are included. Our 2019 schedule is below:
