Speaker: Kate Livie
Kate Livie is a writer, historian, and Education Director of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. She is the author of a new book titled “Chesapeake Oysters: The Bay’s Foundation and its Future”. Her presentation will cover the history, culture and future of the Bay’s beloved bivalve, and how the oyster has connected the Bay’s people, economy, and culture for thousands of years, as well as current restoration efforts.
