Beachin’ Glass and Pottery Pendant:  Offered by Melissa Kay Steves

DoBeach sea glass pendant you have a special piece of sea glass or pottery that you would like to transform into jewelry? In this fun class, students will learn to properly drill through sea glass and/or beach pottery to create a focal point for necklace. Students will then learn various forging and wire wrapping techniques to create a unique pendant. (please bring 2 pieces of sea glass or pottery) Instructor will provide all materials and tools and will have one piece of sea glass per student. (Limit 15 students, 2 hours, cost $50).

Fish Tales PMC Bracelet:  Offered by Melissa Kay Steves

Create a stunning bracelet while learning a variety of jewelry making skills. In this class students will weave a herring bone style bracelet using leather and wire. Then they will create fine silver charms and links with precious metal clay and attach to create a unique bracelet. Students will also create a tiny sea glass drop to add a bit of Eastern Shore bling. This is a fun class for the beginner and expert student who wants to take their jewelry making skills to a whole new level. All materials and tools provided. (Limit 15 students, 3 hours, Fish Tales Bracelet with PMC charm $95).

Introduction To Metals

In this class students will learn how to make a stunning pair of earrings or pendant in copper and sea glass.  This class will include how to add texture, create a patina, open/close jump rings and ‘the finished look.’  Includes all supplies.  $35 per student; limit 10 students.

Wire Wrap:  Offered by Jeanne Long

Participants will learn to wrap sea glass to make a beautiful pendant.  All supplies are included. Students are welcome to bring their own special piece to wrap.  (Limit to 8 students. 1.5 hours, $35).

Sea Glass Bangle Charm Bracelet:  Offered by Dianne McLaughlin of Spirit of the Sea

In this class we will learn to make the popular adjustable bangle charm bracelets.  The ready drilled sea glass (2) , beach themed charms(2), a freshwater pearl (1) and the ready to use bracelet frame (1) will be provided for everyone.  You will learn to make the wrapped loops that are used to attach each element to the bracelet frame.  The wire will be provided as will the use of my own tools–feel free to bring your own tools.  Fun and easy to do.  (cost $30 per participant; limit 20 participants)

“Beach Marbles in the Chesapeake Bay and Beyond”:  Offered by Mary McCarthy

This lecture “Beach Marbles in the Chesapeake Bay and Beyond” will explore origins and history of the different types of marbles that wash up on shorelines around the bay and on beaches throughout the world, and include a display of sea marbles from over 20 countries and waterways from around the globe. (cost $5; limit to 25 participants)

Participants enrolled in this class be given the opportunity to create a unique piece of sea glass art using authentic sea glass and ceramics.  Picture frames, sea glass, ceramic pieces, paint and glue will be provided.  (Limit to class-20 participants 1.5 hrs, Cost $40)

How to Weave A Wire Bezel Setting of Looped Netting:  Offered by Dianne McLaughlin

Using a simple looping technique, we will learn to encase sea glass in a wire bezel that will become a pendant necklace.  Everything is included in this beginner class that produces advanced results with lots of one on one instruction.  All materials included, but bring your ‘special glass’ if desired. (Limit to class- 15 participants- 2 hrs. Cost $30.)
